I was having such a good weekend! My parents were up from Texas and I got to spend all weekend with my mom....all of which I'll post about later (w/ pics)
However, by Saturday evening a tooth that had given me problems previously, decided it was time to give me major problems. I was up all night Saturday in pain and barely ate anything Sunday because the entire right side of my face hurt. Sunday night was even worse. So bright and early Monday morning I called the closest dentist I could find that would get me in ASAP. I was seen by the dentist around noon and the diagnosis wasn't good......
ROOT CANAL!!! Just hearing those words made me cringe....even though I knew that was a definite possibility.
So the dentist prescribed Amoxycillin and Hydrocodone along w/ some 600mg Ibuprofin for the night until I could come back on Tuesday. I felt pretty good Monday night & actually slept. I went into work for an hour before going back to the dentist. The actual procedure wasn't too bad....the worst was all the needle pricks needed to completely numb my jaw. Afterwards I went home and took all the medications and zonked out for several hours. I wouldn't have been very productive at work, seeing as I couldn't talk and the room kept spinning every time I opened my eyes.
Tuesday night wasn't too bad....I did wake up around 3am in pain, so I popped some more pills & went back to bed.
What a horrible end to such a wonderful weekend!

Well, I'm happy that you got to spend time with your mom, but i'm sorry about your tooth!! Take it from the dental hygienist, make sure you take all of your antibiotics or else infection will never go away and once you finish the root canal and get your crown on, you'll not feel anything from that tooth ever again.. as long as he did a good root canal! Okay, done with the lecture! Love ya! Hope you feel better!!
Had a great visit with you, not long enough. Glad you were able to get into the dentist and get that tooth fixed. Waiting to see what pics you post in your blog.
